This module is built around a series of case studies relating to different ways bowel cancer may be detected in patients and provides information on the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.
By completing this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- State the ways in which patients with bowel cancer may present
- Assess patients for bowel cancer based on family history
- Interpret and investigate the presenting symptoms of bowel cancer
- Discuss the bowel cancer screening program with patients
- Ensure patient safety by utilising prompt and recall and reminder systems to assist with lifestyle modifications
