Adult immunisation |

This activity looks at the immunisation recommendations for adults. Issues discussed include the current recommended vaccination schedule for adults, the Australian whooping cough epidemic and the vaccination of groups with special needs.
By completing this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify patients at high risk of communicable/vaccine preventable disease
- Assess the need for catch up vaccination/additional vaccination schedules in adults
- Discuss groups of patients with special vaccination requirements
- Indicate the appropriate sources of current vaccine information
- Ensure patient safety by reducing communicable disease by using systems of recall and reminder
