The investigation of, and the treatment options for, rheumatoid arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis attacks the lining of the joints (synovium) causing swelling that can result in aching and throbbing and eventually deformity and may make even the simplest activities difficult to manage. It is two to three times more common in women than in men and generally occurs between the ages of 40 and 60. While there is no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, proper treatment, a strategy for joint protection and changes in lifestyle, can lead to a long and productive life. In this interactive inline activity you will examine the treatment options for RA.
