Common paediatric orthopaedic conditions
This education will focus on the key diagnostic and management strategies in evaluating common paediatric orthopaedic conditions which present in general practice. The education will discuss the conditions occurring in the spine and lower limbs, the investigations, differential diagnoses and the appropriate management.

By completing this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss and describe common spinal and lower limb paediatric orthopaedic conditions presenting in general practice
- State the differential diagnoses of common orthopaedic conditions of the spine and lower extremities in children and adolescents
- Outline the physical examination and imaging studies for common spinal and lower limb paediatric orthopaedic conditions
- State the indications for referral to an orthopaedic surgeon
- Ensure patient safety by appropriate referrals to specialist and other suitable services.
