The education is facilitated with the use of the National eHealth Transition Authority (NEHTA) The eHealth Journey, demonstrating a patient journey through a clinical care episode using the Health Identifiers (HI) service, demonstrating how to deliver quality, safe and efficient patient care using electronic products and tools.
By completing this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the emerging eHealth environment and link to daily clinical practice.
- Describe the value of a structured quality framework.
- Explain how best to incorporate a systematic approach to change management.
- Recall the planning and implementation that is required for successful data management.
- Ensure patient safety by initially demonstrating their skills by travelling with a virtual patient through their health journey and gaining understanding of health management in an e-enabled health sector.
