    By completing this learning activity, participants will be able to:
    Evaluate the latest epidemiological data on COVID-19 in 2025, including circulating variants and emerging trends in transmission
    Discuss current recommendations on risk stratification and best-practice management strategies for vulnerable populations
    Apply updated evidence and guidance on COVID-19 prevention, vaccination, and antiviral treatment to optimise patient outcomes
    Determine when to refer a patient who develops symptoms of COVID-19 or continue to manage the patient in the community
    Communicate effectively with appropriate patients to provide clear, evidence-based guidance in the event that they test positive for COVID-19

    Associate Professor Paul Griffin

    A/Prof Griffin is the Director of Infectious Diseases at Mater Health Services in Brisbane, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland School of Medicine and the Medical Director at Nucleus Network. He has been the principal investigator on in excess of 125 clinical trials predominantly in infectious diseases including 8 COVID-19 vaccines. As a clinical microbiologist he maintains an active interest in diagnostic microbiology with a focus on clinical applications of faecal microbiome metagenomic sequencing.

    Dr Anita Munoz

    Dr Muñoz is a Melbourne-based GP dedicated to promoting the role of general practice in patient health and public health more broadly. She is Chair of the RACGP Victoria Council and an RACGP board member, has held advisory positions with the Victorian Department of Health and Safer Care Victoria, and has been a medical educator for over 12 years. She is particularly preoccupied with the wellbeing of general practice registrars, and of securing a high-quality general practice workforce for the future.
