    This is one module of the Asthma in Australia series of education, which is also available as the 6-hour Accredited CPD Activity Asthma in Australia: Practical solutions for challenges in primary care.

     

    This module looks at the impact of asthma for patients with mild-to-moderate and severe disease, and helps you give your patients the tools to self-manage their condition. The module also explores the psychosocial factors that can increase the impact of asthma, and provides practical tips and resources for mitigating these.

    Learning outcomes

    On completion of this educational activity participants will be able to:
    Understand the impact of asthma for patients with mild-to-moderate and severe disease.
    Describe what personalised care is in the context of asthma and how it can benefit patients.
    Discuss how the unique characteristics of your asthma patients influence their asthma-related health.
    Provide nuanced care to accommodate and mitigate against individual social and personal characteristics.
